Hmmmmm.................you've
posed an interesting question about the title
for a collection of pillows! Let us approach this etymologically: under normal conditions,
the definition of pillow would be something flat that supports the body. This definition
does not fit! Therefore we can't call this collection a "Support Group."
(Behave! I'm totally and deeply interested in the theoristic aspects of this vital
naming!)
Approaching from the artistic angle -- or perhaps geometric since we're talking about
angles -- we could call it a "Pyramidal Assemblage" or a "Stuffed,
Stylized, Animal Collage" but that somehow lacks the image that a
"Pillow" collection calls for.
Since pillows are also something that one hugs, the term "Hug" might also be
used if it were not for the fact that in popular parlance among possessors of numerous
perfectly precious puffy pets of the non-human variety, the word "Hug" is used
to describe THAT assemblage.
So we are faced with the real dilemma of naming a certifiably unique grouping of precious, puffy, perfect pets with a name suiting their demeanor and appearance as well as their place in society.
If we are going to strive
for accuracy, we could simply apply the name "Pillow Pet Collection"... no...too
.....um....somehow incomplete.
Therefore, may I suggest, after lengthy....well, maybe sorta' lengthy....absorbing study
of "The Synonym Finder" by Rodale and "The Highly Selective Thesaurus for
the Extraordinarily Literate" by Ehrlich, "A Pad of Pillow Pets" as a
possibly passible title? Or perhaps,......even BETTER!!!! I have it!
The perfect name for the collection of Pillow Pals -- what else but "A
CUDDLE!"
