While we loved the neon pillows, this opinion was not universally shared so, like earlier versions of us, they suddenly ceased being released in mid-1999. The last pillow in the series who was released was Sparkler and his picture does not even appear on Ty's site. In 2000, the Baby Ty appeared. As you will see, the first BabyTy were very plump sitting stuffies made from terry type fabric. While this version was never formally retired, they are now shown as retired on Ty's site. In mid-2001 a new version of the Baby Tys appeared on the scene. These are much more like the original pillows, very floppy and snuggly. Unlike the original pillows however, members of this new version are bright pastels and have the softest, most snuggly plush we have ever felt. It is called Tyhair, apparently a longer plush version of his soft Tylon. We love these new pillows, which we believe should be referred to as Cuddles. We think these are the best pillows ever. We were very happy when Ty included more of them in his January release. Sadly they have now been deleted and all references to the Pillows have disappeared from Ty's place.
