It was
Christmas Eve and the family was watching (at Grandma's insistence)
"It's a Wonderful Life". |
 |
Everyone
was excited with a surprise visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Here are
Baby, Sweet William and Jennie with their guests! |
 |
The
babies really enjoyed the visit. |
 |
After
the Clauses left, there was so much excitement that the group decided
that, unless the children were read a story, they would never get to
sleep. Accordingly they started to gather around the fireplace. |
 |
The
children chose Zippy the Chimp, one of their favorites and the Grandmas
began to read. |
 |
Suddenly
they noticed that most of the family were missing!!! They asked Susan to
check on them. |
 |
Susan
was shocked to find the two Grandpas and Uncle Sid (or was it Groucho)
reading. READING??? What could this mean? It was so dark on their side of
the room that she had to go and turn on the lights. |
 |
She was
stunned to find that it wasn't just the two Grandpaws and Uncle Sid. It
was ALL of the boys and evidently they had come across one of her art
books. Look at the expression on Sid's face...what a clown! Its easy to
see why the boys are so enthralled with him. AG seems to be more
enthralled by what he is seeing though! |
 |
Susan
quickly chased the boys back to story hour and sent the Grandpas back to
their room and their own proper chair. She told them to read from
"The Spell of the Yukon and Other Verses" until the story hour
was over. |
 |
Of
course Susan ensured that they eventually ended up on their proper sofa,
their proper places, all ready for bed! |
